Avgerini Catering can arrange tasting sessions for anyone with an interest in the wines of Greece. These tastings offer the taster the opportunity to discover some of the interesting and varied wines available. The tasting sessions are in three different categories.

Introduction to Greek Wines

The popular 'Introduction to Greek Wines' is a tutored tasting of five or six leading grape varieties from different regions of Greece and produced by some of the leading Greek wine makers. The taster is guided through the different grape varieties along with their climatic conditions, production details and ageing potential as well as to what dishes would compliment the wine to its best performance. Tasting notes and score cards are provided.

Intermediate Wine Tasting

For the more advanced taster, we offer wine tastings of a particular region of Greece. i.e. Peloponnese, Macedonia etc. Cost on application

Advanced Wine Tasting

For the advanced taster, we suggest either a vertical or horizontal tasting. Sufficient prior notice would be required in order for us to source these wines. Cost on application.
